II Gastronomic Days “Flavours of Yesteryear” at Posada Doña Urraca
As is becoming tradition, this year we once again participated in an event that takes us straight back to the flavours of yesteryear. In 2025, the dates chosen were from 15 May to 15 June, and every weekend visitors were able to enjoy authentic traditional cuisine at the Posada Doña Urraca Restaurant in Fermoselle.
Under the slogan ‘The flavours of yesteryear are back’, the II Sabores de Antaño Gastronomic Conference was held, an event designed for all lovers of the typical cuisine of Arribes del Duero. For four weekends, diners were able to enjoy a full menu that paid tribute to traditional recipes, made with local and seasonal ingredients.

In 2025, the menu included an appetiser, first course, second course, dessert, local bread, water and a glass of D.O. Arribes wine:

Starter: Assorted Iberian meats platter

First courses to choose from: Peppers stuffed with cod / Tomato with goat's cheese

Main courses to choose from: Suckling lamb in almond sauce / Grilled Iberian pork shoulder

Homemade desserts: Rice pudding (grandmother's recipe) / Sparkling flan
Attendees particularly appreciated the quality of the products, the careful presentation of the dishes and the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine in a unique setting.
A perfect plan for weekends
These events became an ideal plan for spending weekends in Fermoselle, combining good food with the beauty of the Arribes del Duero Natural Park. Visitors were able to enjoy a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere full of flavour, rediscovering the essence of the region's traditional cuisine.
Special prize draw
In addition, two free menus were raffled off among all participants, an initiative that made the experience even more attractive and allowed more people to enjoy the flavours of yesteryear.
The 2nd Flavours of Yesteryear Gastronomic Days at Posada Doña Urraca allowed visitors to rediscover the most traditional dishes of Arribes del Duero and enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
