II Gastronomic Days “Flavours of Yesteryear” at Posada Doña Urraca
As it is becoming a tradition, this year we participated again in these days that take us straight back to the flavours of the past. In 2025, the event ran from 15 May to 15 June, and each weekend visitors were able to enjoy authentic traditional cuisine at the Posada Doña Urraca Restaurant in Fermoselle.
Under the motto “The flavours of the past return”, the II Gastronomic Days “Flavours of Yesteryear” were celebrated, an event designed for all lovers of typical Arribes del Duero gastronomy. Over four weekends, diners could enjoy a complete menu paying tribute to time-honoured recipes, prepared with local, seasonal ingredients.
Gastronomic Days Menu
In 2025, the menu included an aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, local bread, water, and a glass of D.O. Arribes wine:

Starter: Iberian cold cuts platter

Starters to choose from: Piquillo peppers stuffed with cod / Tomato with goat cheese

Mains to choose from: Suckling lamb in almond sauce / Grilled Iberian pork shoulder

Homemade desserts: Rice pudding (Grandma’s recipe) / Sparkling flan
Guests particularly appreciated the quality of the products, the careful presentation of the dishes, and the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine in a unique setting.
A perfect weekend plan
These Gastronomic Days became an ideal plan for weekends in Fermoselle, combining excellent cuisine with the beauty of the Arribes del Duero Natural Park. Visitors could enjoy a warm, family-friendly atmosphere full of flavour, rediscovering the essence of the region’s traditional cuisine.
Special raffle
Additionally, two free menus were raffled among all participants, a special initiative that made the experience even more attractive and allowed more people to savour the flavours of yesteryear.
The II Gastronomic Days “Flavours of Yesteryear” at Posada Doña Urraca allowed visitors to rediscover the most traditional dishes of Arribes del Duero and enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience. We hope to repeat the experience in 2026.
